"A love story told using moments in time."

NEW LIFE POSTER-2.jpg

The Story

In this short film, there is one story line that is told using decades of time (1865, 1935, 1968, 1977, and the current year).  The plot is centered around forbidden love that turns into rekindled fire, once the two are reunited . Things seems to be going well until the woman entertains the attention of another in the man's absence.

After confronting her, the man is consumed with anger. In  his hurt, he also gives into the temptation of infidelity.  After realizing that holding on to bitterness is like drowning alone at sea, the man "sees the light" and lets go of resentment.  The two then find redemption through the power of forgiveness.

Apostle Paul was imprisoned several times for boldly preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in multiple cities, including Rome. Later, he became a martyr and the letters that he wrote while in prison are apart of the New Testament. In this documentary short, Jermaine Coles traveled to Rome to explore the final footsteps of Apostle Paul in the Bible. Places explored was what was believed to be the apartment where Paul resided, the prison during his final trial, the beheading site, and the burial cemetery of Paul.
